How it works.
Once Allie has been engaged through direct contact or via your funeral director, she will set up a time to meet with you and discuss your thoughts for the special farewell. This meeting is usually in the family home or a place where you are most comfortable. If you are from out of town or overseas, the meeting can take place over Zoom or Skype.
Don't worry if you don't have any specific wants. It's okay to be unsure of what you would like, and often our loved ones haven't been able to communicate their needs before passing. As Allie talks with you, she'll discover lots of beautiful stories and unveil the true essence of your loved one.
After the meeting, Allie will prepare a draft ceremony for your consideration. This will include the eulogy, music, readings, and rituals such as candle lighting or rosebuds for the casket. Some families like to be very involved with the service on the day, and others prefer the ceremony to be conducted solely by Allie, the celebrant. There is a myriad of options in between which will be discussed during the meeting.
Once the ceremony has been signed off, Allie will put in place all the necessary arrangements, including contacting your funeral director with all the details and timing for the ceremony.
On the day of the service, Allie arrives an hour early to ensure all is under control at the venue and to be there when you and the family arrive. She will conduct a ceremony that speaks to you, your friends and family and honours your loved one as she supports and guides you through the service.
